I love Kombucha. It is some kind of magic that helps with so much! I was sick this past weekend, so badly so that I actually put my biz into vacation mode for the FIRST TIME. Of course I grabbed my Kombucha and went to town!
It wasn't great on my throat, which already burnt like crazy but it was good FOR it! I had thought ahead and made Kombucha with eldberry so that was my first pick! Of course, this had to be the week I tried a new Kombucha. Green tea. I kept thinking WHY NOW DID I HAVE TO MESS WITH PERFECTION?! I knew black tea Kombucha helped me when I was sick so I wasn't exactly happy to realize I was lacking my regular and had to cross my fingers and hope the green tea 'bucha kicked booty as well as my regular!
Of course it did!
It looks weak. It literally is a perfect light green when it's all said and done fermenting. Which is cool but at the same time I REALLY wanted my liquid gold because I felt so badly! I use black strap molasses instead of honey, to make it vegan! Black strap molasses has TONS more goodies as well. Check it out!
I was not disappointed! It wasn't as harsh as black tea Kombucha but it did the job just as well! Thus with my throat being so raw I was able to drink more! I didn't want to wait 2-3 days for another ferment of elderberry so I just added a slip of elderberry syrup and was in heaven!
I highly recommend green tea Kombucha! Give it a shot and let me know what you think of it!
As you can see in my last blog, my MASSIVE home grown scoby is multiplied 4x now! It can potentially be separated into 4 scobies! Check my post on how to start your OWN fermenation of Kombucha! Definitely worth the time to know exactly how your scoby is grown plus it's basically FREE and zero waste!
I love how the Kombucha looks in these swing top bottles! I found my bottles at Aldi's for less than $2 (if you know Aldi's, you know the stock changes and varies. Check yours to see if they have these in stock.). They were lemonade bottles! So not only did we get to enjoy lemonade but I got some SWEET bottles!
Love and Green things!

*be sure to ask your doctor before changing normal eating habits including Kombucha or adding any herbal therapy into your daily routine! I do not claim than Kombucha treats, cures, diagnoses or prevents any illness but rather use it as a vessel for botanical medicine that makes me feel grand!
