This day in age to be successful, you have to think successful. Creating a one-of-a-kind brand is not easy. Business card design, logos, thank you cards. You name it.
As if that's not hard enough? It's all wasteful. Really wasteful. What is a zero waster to do?
That's where FDD comes in. The owner, Michelle, has been my designer for a long time. I am completely illiterate when it comes to anything computer or graphic design... Lucky for those like me, she gave us an interview!
1) I have been a customer of Freaky DD, for a long time, is it fun to work with customers that look specifically for natural and zero waste options? Or a hassle?
I love my clients!! New and old. My favorite part about my job is that each piece is unique to each person/business. For those who love the environment like I do, it's refreshing to use natural zero waste items and shipping methods.
2) You portfolio (found on her Freaky Deaky Design Facebook page) is very diverse, do you like creating things for many different styles and businesses? Are your products limited to businesses only?
I love to help them all! To me, each business deserves a design catered especially to them, to represent what they personally stand for. I famously say that "no templates are used here". That ensures that each person/business gets the unique design they deserve.
I cater to anyone looking for design, not only businesses. I've created wedding and birthday invitations, stamps for personal book collections and so on.
3) How zero waste can we go with our printing needs (aka no plastic wrapped items, no plastic caps, etc.)?
That will depend on each item but nothing is impossible! For instance I had a client requesting all natural zero waste business cards and that's what they got! The cards were created on all natural recycled paper, recycled ink and in cardbox to ship with NO plastic. Needless to say, they were very pleased.
4) One last question, how can people help you expand your business? Zero wasters are very supportive community, many of us love to help others find options to fit their lifestyles!
Share! Let your friends and fellow business owners know of your experience with me. I'll offer them and you a discount if a sale is made. My prices are very reasonable and my turnaround rate is fast.
Thank you, Michelle, for taking the time out to let us know that there ARE eco-friendly, zero waste options for everyone! I never even though about birthday invitations! How often would we normally just pick them up from the store covered in plastic wrap? A hand designed and given invitation is far more impressive than an email.
I am personally VERY excited about the wedding invitations! Those zero waste weddings can be just as heart warming as any, all while saving the planet!
Everyone, give a shout out to Michelle over at Freaky Deaky Designs! Tell her you saw me here and get this awesmome discount!
She has a Facebook page and instagram!
